This month’s PRESS PLAY featured artist is Toronto-based, Nigerian-born producer REMSEN.
In something of a first for PRESS PLAY, we don’t have much information to share about REMSEN’s track, “Sol(st)ice,” a track that we know he’s been working on over the last few months. Like his previous released work, “Sol(st)ice” features subtle and moody synth-based production work and his melodically inflected vocals. As to any specific influences or insights into its lyrical content, REMSEN is leaving that to the listener to interpret and infer. Suffice it to say, with its stylish sounds and seductive rhythms, “Sol(st)ice” makes perfect sense for March as we move towards the solar equinox and onward to what will hopefully be a bright and sunny summer.
